Reiki
Reiki (Rei- 'Universal' 'Ki - Life force) was developed in 1922 by Mikai Usui, it is a healing energy that is used as an alternative to medicine or as a complimentary therapy.
I have been practising Reiki since the year 2000 and love the results I have seen over the years.
There are 5 principles of reiki that I personally like, they are –
· Do not be angry
· Do not worry
· Be grateful
· Work with integrity
· Be kind to others
Every morning and night speak these words in your heart and feel the change.
Tarot Cards
I also work with tarot cards, I find them very good for helping people through troubled emotions and clouded thoughts. They offer a reflection of your past, present & future and show you a fresh perspective on life. When you have clarity of mind it makes you more relaxed and choices become easier to make.
Person Centered Counselling
I wanted to include this work to combine with my spirit work. It was created by Carl Rogers, it deals with the way in which people perceive themselves consciously rather than having a counsellor try to interpret unconscious thoughts or ideas. For me, I enjoy this work because it is so genuine.
Techniques I Use
Crystal Healing
I use crystals as I believe they have a great healing energy and also I love the colours. I carry crystals with me at all times, different crystals have different properties that can take on particular forms of healing energy. The earliest crystal healing came from ancient Egypt. I use crystals to balance up the chakras as they cleanse and energise the body, they enhance a sense of well being.
Spiritual Healing
This is one of my favourite healing, I love doing this. It treats the whole person – mind, body and spirit. It is channelled energy from a higher source.
I believe that there should be a spiritual healer on the payroll of every hospital and cancer ward. There is evidence it improves the patient’s moods and can help with the physical symptoms. It also helps people go through chemotherapy. The evidence is phenomenal of how much better people feel.
I believe that everyone should try this and hope to one day be working with the NHS.
Hopi Ear Candles
This is something I find very relaxing, it is pleasant and a non-invasive treatment of ears. These candles induce a revitalising heat upon the head, ears and throat which soothes, relieves and relaxes.
It is an ancient natural therapy handed down by civilisation; this treatment was used by the Indians. The meaning of ‘hopi’ is peaceful people.
